I am enjoying the posts about Southern
Rock. Martyn Bone made some good points. Its
interesting how the authenticity concept
manifests itself in the discussion as it does
with particular intensity in country music.

Southern Music list members should be interested
to know that the Thursday evening 25 May keynote
of the International Country Music Conference will
feature Lance Ledbetter of Atlanta dealing with
issues related to preservation and his work with
Dust-To-Digital. Besides a wide variety of
presenters (two from Japan) and topics, the Friday,
16 May panel will focus on the Outlaw movement.

This is the 40th anniversary of the Outlaws album.
ICMC is held in The Board Room of The Jack Massey
Business Center of Belmont University in Nashville
and overlooks Music Row and downtown Nashville.
